Certified Professional Coach, Seminar Leader

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover"

Our Programs

Our clients are generally privately owned companies, with up to about 100 employees.  Sometimes they want to grow their business to the next level, to shift to a more positive culture, to improve communications within the company, to empower and motivate their teams, or a number of other reasons.  We work as both coach and consultant to the founder/principal, partners and key staff.  We offer a number of programs including individual executive coaching, group/team coaching, partnership coaching, facilitations, peer advisory groups, and custom workshops and seminars.

Executive Coaching

CEOs and business owners are usually the most isolated individuals in their organizations.  They are expected to know everything about the company and to have all the answers.  They hold others accountable, but who holds them accountable?  With whom can they talk freely and openly about their fears and challenges?  We specialize in providing CEOs, principals, executives and professionals with convenient individual coaching, by telephone.  Leadership topics include organizational development, strategizing and planning, negotiating, communications, time management, employee development, exploring opportunities and options, as well as having brainstorming sessions.

Group/Team Coaching

Working with groups or teams of up to 6 individuals, facilitate either with face-to-face meetings or by telephone.  Typically we conduct such meetings with executive boards, partners, key staff, teams, etc.

Partnership Coaching

Business partners generally have unique sets of challenges based on their relationship with each other.  Important and challenging conversations are facilitated and obstacles are resolved while keeping the business objectives in clear focus.

Facilitations

Whether it's setting an annual agenda or to stimulate better communication, we facilitate even the most challenging conversations between 2 or more individuals that helps keep the company on track and moving in the direction of its objectives.

Peer Advisory Group

The collective knowledge, experience and wisdom inherent in any group of peers is extraordinarily powerful.  Expand the passion and profitability of your business by sharing with, and learning from others in your peer group of approximately 6 - 10 members.

Custom Seminars

We are happy to provide you with a quote to design and present seminars specific to your needs.  Whether its from our "GROW Your Relationship..." series, other existing titles, or to custom design for a specific topic or challenge.

Please contact us for more information about any of these programs.

ABOUT COACHING

What Is Coaching?
Professional Coaching is a professional partnership between a qualified coach and an individual that supports the achievement of extraordinary results, based on goals set by the individual. Through the process of coaching, individuals focus on the skills and actions needed to successfully produce their personally relevant results.

The individual chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions as well as concepts and principles which can assist in generating possibilities and identifying actions. Through the coaching process the clarity that is needed to support the most effective actions is achieved.

Coaching accelerates the individual's progress by providing greater focus and awareness of possibilities leading to more effective choices. Coaching concentrates on where individuals are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future. Coaches recognize that results are a matter of the individual's intentions, choices and actions, supported by the coach's efforts and application of coaching skills, approaches and methods.

“Coaching is a conversation, a dialogue, whereby the coach and the individual interact in a dynamic exchange to achieve goals, enhance performance and move the individual forward to greater success.”

Zeus and Skiffington

What are the benefits of coaching?
Individuals who engage in a coaching relationship can expect to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced thinking and decision making skills, enhanced interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles. Consistent with a commitment to enhancing their personal effectiveness, they can also expect to see appreciable results in the areas of productivity, personal satisfaction with life and work, and the achievement of personally relevant goals.

What does a Professional Coach do?

  • Works with clients to set and reach powerful, effective, meaningful, relevant goals.

  • Asks clients to go beyond where they would have gone on their own.

  • Helps clients sharpen and maintain focus to more quickly produce results

  • Provides the tools, encouragement, support and structure to accomplish more than ever.

What is the basic philosophy of coaching?

You'll be more powerful and effective in any or all areas of your life when you have a trained, experienced coach who brings fresh perspective, stimulus, ideas, and structures for accountability.

Why do people decide to hire a personal/professional coach?

They want more. They want to grow. They want it easier.

What happens when you hire a coach?

The moment you hire a professional or personal coach you begin to take yourself more seriously. Your actions immediately become more effective and focused. You stop putting up with nagging things that have been dragging you down. You begin to create momentum. You set goals well beyond those you would have set. Results come more easily. And you receive and relish the acknowledgements you earn and deserve.

"A good coach will make his players see what they can be rather than what they are."

Ara Parasheghian (American college football coach)
